Dr. Darrell Gaskins was born in Columbia, SC. He received the academic distinction of Phi Beta Kappa while attending the University of South Carolina as a premedical pharmacy student. In 1977 he received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and continued on to complete his general surgery internship. After serving as a flight surgeon in the US Air Force, Dr. Gaskins completed his ophthalmology training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Collier County Medical Society, the Florida Medical Association, and the American Medical Association. Dr. Gaskins is an active member of the staff of NCH Downtown Naples Hospital. Since opening his practice in 1984, he developed Gaskins Eye Care and Surgery Center with the assistance of his wife, Cindy.

Dr. James Fleischman was born in New York City, NY. He received the academic distinction Cum Laude while attending Princeton University as an undergraduate. In 1976 he received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He completed his internship at Huntington Memorial Hospital at the University of Southern California and his residency at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Fleischman did a fellowship in Anterior Segment Surgery & Laser Surgery at the University of Maryland and an oculoplastic preceptorship with Dr. Michael Patipa in West Palm Beach, FL.  He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. His extensive training includes faculty appointments at Ernest A. Katzen Memorial Eye Research Institute and College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. John Nassif was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He received a BS Degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. In 1984 he received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his internship at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in San Diego, CA and then his residency at George Washington University in Washington DC. Dr. Nassif is an Oculoplastic and Facial Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Nassif did a Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Flowers Clinic in Honolulu, Hawaii and Oculoplastics Fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital, New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in New York City. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and he is a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His extensive training includes academic appointments at the University of California, Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Naval Hospital, and Mercy Hospital & Medical Center in San Diego.
